Scott Brown Wins in MA!
Congrats to Massachusetts for putting someone in the "peoples" seat.
Congrats to Massachusetts for putting someone in the "peoples" seat.
Quick - tune in MSNBC. It's just too good to miss.
KO is so condescending. It's great.
'American Idol meets Who Wants to be a Senator'.
That's KO's 'analysis' of Brown's speech.
Now interviewing Huffington & pushing the meme that voters are 'still voting for change'.
Brown's best line - 'I asked the President if I should drive the truck down to DC so he can see it'.
Now Brown's a 'snake-oil salesman' for pretending to be 'independent' - well, KO should know from snake-oil even though he doesn't have a clue.
KO couldn't even acknowledge Brown's homage to Ted.
'My God, he's still talking!'
'Tonight, the teabaggers elected their first Senator.' And he claims the that the 'teabaggers' named themselves; Janeane Garofolo had nothing to do with it.
If KO didn't exist, we'd have to invent him.
Rachel's turn.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz: it wasn't about healthcare - 98% of MA residents have healthcare so it couldn't have been about that. 'The buck stops with the candidate'. This was just a 'bump in the road'. The reason Brown won was that the Republican base was a lot more enthusiastic about electing their candidate. (Never mind the 3:1 Dem registration advantage).
Man, oh Man - in the span of 24 hours Massachussetts has gone from the most enlightened, intelligent state in the nation to nothing but a bunch of knuckledragging Nazis. 'Least if you believe a lot of lefty bloggers/commenters.
They're in total panic mode - they're now convinced their only option is to pass something, anything, to avoid getting 'creamed in November'. The talking heads want the Dems to have 'an accomplishment' to show for all this effort & to go into the fall elections with 'something'. Trouble is, that 'something' will be a bright, luminescent target.
OK, now back to you, ID.
OK, not just yet.
While in the midst of a segment about 'what this means to women' and bemoaning how Massachussetts has never elected a woman governor or senator, Rachel chooses, without any sense of irony or self-awareness, to trash Sarah Palin.
OK, now back to you. Really.
love it wingnuts! ![]()
The best thing is they still don't get it. They are all over now whining about nothing will get done now. Hahahhaa!
Thank god I did not watch PMSNBC. Fox's coverage was more a split screen (between the regular shows and the coverage), but I followed the results on Drudge.
There is no point in watching KO. Any idiot can spout talking points and vitriol.
And he's the one calling Limbaugh the Worst Person in the World. Notice he doesn't do a bit on the Worst Idea in the World - it's all personal demonification with him.
Thanks for the moment to moment posting Daiwa. Gotta love how some people are just sore losers. It's not that Brown won, it's that Coakley lost. What really blows me away is how the Media does not seem to care that they are insulting those who would potentially be their audience when pointing out how bad it is that a particular person won because these poeple voted for that person. Nothing like having the media tell you just how stupid you are for voting for the winner.
They had no problem telling the people how wise they were for voting as they did in 2008. It just reinforces the perception of the far left media.
BTW I was throughly entertained browsing the posts over on the Huffington Post this morning. Quite amusing.
Look at it this way. 16 years ago, they called us angry. now they call us stupid. In another few years, will we be vegetables? ![]()
Post some. I try not to become part of a Billy madison answer (Everyone in this room is dumber).
What's with Beck today? I hear he went off on Brown's (trivial) embarrassing of his daughters, saying he 'could end up with a dead intern' in his future. WTF?
'Course, KO's all over Beck this evening, claiming the Right's not criticizing him.
Got news for KO - I'm criticizing Beck. Those comments were nuts.
Congratulation for the Republican for this victory! It is one that was clearly earned ![]()
He has done a very good campaign against a candidate who was so arrogant and condescendant, he (and the GoP) deserves that win so hard.
I kinda hoped he'd win, even if I like Obama one many issues. Seriously, no politician should act like they already won, and his opponent was just incompetent.
So, do you think/hope the 41 Republican Senators are going to act solely in obstructive manner, or there is going to be some work done in Congress? ![]()
When has there been any work done in Congress?
All kidding aside, wheather or not bills get passed will totally depend on how many concessions Obama can stomach from the Republicans and how much blood the Republicans want to draw. Plus you also have to figure in voter anger at this point over alot of issues as well and wheather the politicians will listen to there constituants or not.
Typical, they lose so now their candidate is a loser. Gotta love the Left. They are like the bad guys in movies and cartoons, you fail and they throw you under the bus.
Nah. That candidate wasn't "my" candidate. I had no qualms initially for either sides, so until I started to see the behavior of the democrat candidate in the race. I am not surprise that MA voted for Brown. I am more surprised so many people voted for her! ![]()
Do you think I'm a democrat, pure and trough? Can't you imagine someone that disagree on some issues with your side of the ideological barrier might not be totally brainwashed by a political party?
IN Massachusetts? Lilke it or not, there are still a lot of people that vote for a candidate just because of the letter behind their name. And running a poor campaign for democrats in MA is no excuse as there has not been a good campaign from a democrat in MA in the last 50 years. All they had to do was get nominated by the party to win. Until now. Clearly her campaign was not in itself the main reason for the loss. But then those thinking the republicans can ride this win to victory in November are just as sadly mistaken. It was not a republican win, it was an anti-establishment (DC) loss.
