Protector WB Released!

Started on a new blind. This is another darker skin, but I tried to keep it light enough so as to not cause any issues with 3rd party apps that refuse to skin properly.

I have added some interest to the otherwise flat gray color by "dirtying" it up and adding a subtle texture.

Anyway, I hope you like what I've done so far.

Draft idea:

The skin applied:

the only thing i would suggest changing would be the seperaters in the startmenu, id drop the number of dots down to at least 3 or 4, as they are dominating the panel and taking away from the rest of it.

I like the 'rivety' look, Vamps... Something's gonna have to happen to that start button. With the name "Peotector" maybe something with a "shield" look to it? I do appreciate the symmetry with the tray button though....

Maybe a plate and rivet look for both? Don't know. Maybe something rusty/rivety?

You may be right about that, kitty. I definately take it into consideration, Thanks :)

Say's who? ;)   :P O:)

Not doing a shield........I know of another WIP skin with a shield start button. B)

"Nothing" is final yet and allways open to my whim and inspiration (with a little input from y'all as well). I have redone this blind twice already ;)

Looking pretty darn good Tim.  I agree with Doc, like the looks of 'rivets' that those seperartors have.

Protector, metal kind of feel, revit looking seperatores, works for me. :sun:

By the way, I don't think kitty was suggesting removing the rivets....just having fewer in a row.

I have done some major changes to the skin.

1. Redone all the buttons (I have gotten rid of all the tiny blue buttons)

2. Redone the scrollbar section

Check out the updated screeny at the bottomof the OP

/me reminds a certian redneck that logging on to skype once and a while usually makes it easier to talk and exchange files

Hey! relax dude. I'm not even finished with the vista substyle yet. I have just started on this skin, so there is plenty of time. WG actually made those docks from my screeny in the desktop screenshot thread.

Don't worry, Jim I haven't forgotten you but I thought I'd wait a bit seeing as I tend to redesign/redo stuff all the time during the skinning process.

At the moment I'm using the wall I did for Solid State (click here to get it), but yes I'll keep you in mind B)

I haven't worked out what I'm doing for a wall yet.........stil concentrating on the skin.
