Maximize, minimize and close buttons not showing up correctly

This is the second time I've had this issue, the first time the only way i was able to correct it was with a full reformat.............today it showed it's ugly face after i purchased and installed the premium desktop collage dynamic dream......the maximize, minimize, and close buttons will not show correctly on ANY WB skin except for the default aero. This time it has happened in a windows 7 32 bit installation....the last time it was in 64 bit.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated as I have no desire to reformat yet again for such a trival problem but i would really like to beable to see these rather important buttons. I've tried multiple reinstallation procedures, ran multiple registry cleaners and nothing seems to work.

What you might do is go into WindowBlinds configuation and copy and paste the information you see in the 'About WindowBlinds tab.

I wouldn't think that the Dream that you got had anything to do with it.

How long ago did this happen the first time and did you email [email protected] at that time and start a ticket?

Have you done any other updates recently, maybe graphic card driver updates?

I havent updated any drivers. The first time this happend was a couple weeks ago right after installing tweak 7 witch also broke soundpackager all together and I decided to do a reformat. I had perfomed a few tests after installing one application at a time and then checking soundpackager and discovered it truly was tweak 7 that was breaking soundpackager, perhaps specific to my hardware or soundcard....i went through multiple reformats that day because there was absolutly no way to fix soundpackager without performing a reformat if i installed tweak 7.

I think the culprit this time may be theme manager because as soon as i applied the aero midnight suite and the new dream this problem occured. I'll probobly just end up reformating yet again because log on studio has also stopped working as well, it will nolonger change the log in screen even after multiple uninstal and reinstal prcedures but it would be nice to know how to fix this when it happens again without having to reformat......i suppose i should create a good clean restore point and full backup image after i get everything working on a fresh reformat.

It also seems that is not every theme for WB....in some themes the buttons show correctly but almost all of them that have the aero style buttons are broken.......I'ver spent more time reformating since i bought the object desktop suite than i have enjoying it.....some of these programs just dont seem to get along together.

Need to see this information as it may tell if you have a bad download of WindowBlinds and other information.

looks like ill be reformating yet again....i installed the free vertsion of cursor FX and it totaly screwed everything up.....takes forever to boot up now and i get a nice blank screen unless i hit control alt and delete after the log in screen and uninstalling and cleaning the registry does not help. This was a completly fresh windoews install as well.....not one thing other than my drivers and the impulse software was installed.

Make sure to get rid of the free version. Just try uninstalling and rebooting. See if that fixes things.

If you decide to buy, don't yrt to use CursorXP skins with it, and install new CursorFX skins only one at a time making sure they don't cause the CursorFX  control panel to freeze.

Given that every time you install an app it seems to break something, I would suggest there is some other app on the machine that is interfering with the installation of the apps.

CursorFX doesn't even start until after you login so it cannot be causing problems with your machines bootup.  Something else is going on.  Changing your logon could in theory cause this problem, but CursorFX cannot.

Im completly cleaning the drives with all 0's on my raid aray and going for another fresh windows install.  i just reformated my media center PC with win 7 64bit and all the stardock software installed just fine although i did see the same "microsoft register server has stopped working" error while installing sound packager but it works just fine. I did not install tweak 7 though.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll let you know if the issue pops up again.
