Is it my graphics card?

Direct3D issue

I've patched, updated my drivers and DirectX and even downloaded the .pref file to try and solve this issue but it wont work. This only leaves the possibility of my Graphics card. The thing is as far as I can tell it should run it (I bet that gets said a lot) It supports Direct3D according to dxdiag and http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/srtest/ confirms that my graphics card should be able to run the game.

Anyway, here is the dxdiag readout:

Where did you update your drivers from, and what version/date are they?

I used the windows device manager and told it to search the internet to find the latest drivers.

Ooh-er, just checked and the driver is V 7.15.11.7967 With a date of 06/03/2009 :P

I guess I'll check the net to find a newer version.

I can't seem to find the drivers, the Nvidia website just tells me to download the drivers from the manufacturers of my laptop. But I no longer have the download facility since I wiped and upgraded my OS.

Generally nVidia's drivers work fine despite their insistence that you have to get them from the OEM. You can get modified reference drivers from laptopvideo2go.com which should work.

I've tried the site but I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to be looking for. Could you give me a few hints please?

Tried running the setup but got an error stating that it couldn't find any drivers compatible with my current hardware.

Thanks anyway :)
