Question for the Programmers of IMPULSE

from Stardock Forums

I would like to see Impulse be able to detect what version of Windows I am using and only show me the programs that will work with my version of windows.

I messed up my Explorer by installing RightClick whose function on Win7 x64 is to crash

the desktop and I spent an hour trying to find Stardock Virtual Desktops in the taskbar toolbars

until I read a forum post that I had better chances finding a user-made dynamic dream on

Wincustomize. The program also can't tell 7 from Vista since when I tried to install TweakVista,

it merrily went and tried to download & install the darn thing until i gave it a bad lashing and

cancelled the download.

Surely it wouldn't take a great deal of effort to add a column in Impulse which said what Windows version is required. It must be confusing to a lot of people which programs they can or cannot install.

Yeah....it would kinda be nice to know when development/support for XP has ended. Would also save me money from buying things that don't work properly on XP any longer. :-"
