Bundalow, I could swear it your design is Yor-basedXD

Pretty good - look like space-insects. BEWARE!!!

Nice designs Bundalow.  Maybe it's just my preferences, but I have a hard time making anything decent with that ship style.

Maiden666, my mistake  , they are Yor based!

Well. I'm impressed. I'm gonna go see if I have any ideas worth manufacturing......

It is Yor-based of corpse :cylon:

Here's something I cooked up with a little help from Kryo's Hull System mod. Like all of my designes, it's not actually playable in the game, having no weapons, engines, or other components:

The Shruiken-Class Deep-Space Support facility is arguably the single most powerful space station ever developed by the Pan-Human Conglomerate: supporting well over a million troops and crew members, the Shruiken serves as a complete, self-sustaining military headquarters for every Conglomerate activity within an entire sector. Due in large part to the station's complete immobility and exorbinate cost, only three have ever been constructed: one between Alpha Centauri and Sol (in the geometric center of Conglomerate space), one at the triple border intersection point between the Arbiter, Human, and Oldinath spheres of influence, and one within the Farworld colony cluster.

The station is divided into four distinct levels, each with a specific tactical purpose:

  • Support level: This facility houses the life-support systems, antimatter reactor, and assorted mechanical systems needed to support the entire complex. Although the systems contained within are highly redundant, security is tight and automation is heavy: only a few engineers and technicians live or work here.
  • Logistics level: The main body of the Shruiken is dedicated to supporting and maintaining the vast fleets and recolonization efforts of a busy combat zone. 32 small hangars are capable of holding up to 64000 Nalex-class fightercraft, while the 16 larger bays can each recieve ships as large as Python-class. Barracks facilities can house 75,000 troops indefinately, and the logistics level possesses a full complment of R/D labs, medical areas, and recreational facilities.
  • Operations Level: The Ops level is responsible for manageing the day-to-day operations of the Shruiken. It provides residential facilities for scientists, civillians, and higher-ranking officers, as well as information-handling systems such as master control rooms and the main AI processor core.
  • Command level: the command level of the station is dedicated to managing an entire sector's worth of Terran operations: comprised entirely of control areas and administrative facilities: all personnel live lower down in the operations areas, and the level is highly secure. A complete electromagnetic, dimensional/phase, and quantum-entanglement communications array enables the command staff to transmit orders and recive intelligence instantly from across the galaxy.

.....!!!

The Shuriken looks great, esp. from above. You seemed to have used 4 huge starwars hulls for the ships-section. How did you do that? The game won't let me pick more than one hull simultanously....?

I used Kryo's Hull System mod, which contains (among other things) completely invisible hulls, and fake hulls that are really extras and can be treated as such. The actual hull of the Shruiken is a lone, disembodied hardpoint (with a cluster of 10 hardpoints in one attached to it) surrounded by hulls.

yes understood.
I further like it you gave your station different sections/functions and put extras on it not only to look great but also that do serve an actual purpose - as launchbays for ships etc.
my current design of a tiny hull that could be used as a freighter etc is made under such pretenses, too - but it's getting increasingly difficult.

and is it just me who can't see the 2nd and 6th pictures?

.......

by the way............ - it was very polite to freely reveal this station (and coordinates) to us (YOR!) as we are always looking for nice spacestations to capture and turn into Military Starbases. Our Terror Troops are already converging at your position - FLEE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!! }:)

The last one is not loading... I'll look into why soon..... but the other images look fine to me (on Firefox).

EDIT: The bottom pic spontaneously reappeared while I was typing the rest of the post..... they just load slowly.

Oh yes, and the Python class I mentioned is documented near the end of the ship designs 2009 thread....... the Nalex is my next project.

And consider the stations a goodwill gesture..... humanity is overrated. Now, if Grey Voice hadn't betrayed me, there would be no need, but......

Alright.... thins is my first completely mod-free design!

The Nalex-class heavy interceptor is a fast, maneuverable, and heavily-armed (but rather fragile) two-pilot starfighter usually attached to Conglomerate bases and capital ships due to their limited range and lack of faster-than-light capabilities. The fighters possess a wide array of light and heavy weapons systems, including a powerful pulse-wave induction cannon, two dual laser cannons, a pair of particle beams and gravitic coils, and as special magazine of 8 experimental "splinterhawk" FTL-rated guided antimatter missiles.

Thank you. I hope you like these as well. They're from a game I'm currently losing:annoyed: playing as the Iconians. I wanted to represent the Iconian Organic hulls and Self-healing hulls tech so I tried to give an organic feel to my ships. As if they are at least partially grown instead of build.

Iconian "Starburst" class starfighter (tiny hull)
Starburst

Iconian "Corona" class heavy cruiser (small hull)
Corona

Iconian "Novachild" class destroyer (large hull)
Novachild

Iconian "Starstorm" class transport (cargo hull)
Starstorm
