5 vent bal games played w pacov and company than in any 75 plus games since then!
is there any chance we can get something like this started again?
Plenty of people have tried to run Demigod vent servers but people are rarely interested.
I give out my private vent server to people who I like :shrug:
Premade v Premade games are hard to get unless you already know each other (eg, I can play against Pacov or Trouser or KALEL or whoever but rarely anyone else). It gets f'king boring playing against them all the time though.
I think pacov could be bothered to bring back Vent Bal games but you'd have to beg him.

Overall, it was a fun experience, but it was a pretty big hassle to get everyone on voice chat, but I met quite a few new people. I'd absolutely be willing to play in this and take some loses, but I'd rather not be running the show this time around.
anyone can do it. I'll link free vent servers for the 3rd time here. All it takes is a simple google search for "free vent server" to yield several servers that are available. Just tell ppl to hop on, balance or w/e, split into 2 diff rooms, and voila.

the issue is not vent servers its people and time ...
i remember when pacov was doing the games it took almost and hour just to get people on vent and that was with pacov's friends/pm playing some too...
what im asking really is who would want to do this?
Pacov how much begging would be required?

Well that was sad. I got a seat in the second one, but then I was either kicked or the lobby was reset. There was also no venting. All that effort for naught.

Another just finished, it was lagged out, but at least I didn't die too much.

edit - I don't think I kicked ptarth at all... I may have if you were on a smurf... I kicked a few people repetitively who joined with weak stats for the sake of balance.
People just need to hang out on lagwar vent more. If you see DG players on there try to join up on your next game. I was playing l4d and got pulled into a game earlier that way, I usually idle in vent.
Agreed. I'm usually on my private vent, but will start hanging out in lagwar more.
Probably because I was using Thuvian's account. I had some issues when I tried out the demo and ended having to create a new account for demigods and kept my old Stardock account.

pacov does not magically make ppl appear and time stop. Why beg Pacov to do it again when you can yourself?
As for who would really want to do it.. host a game and find out. You know anyone can host a game right? Not just Pacov can host a game with the title "Vent Bal" and copy paste vent info. It will take just as long for your lobby to fill and get everyone on vent as it will Pacov. His whole intention with starting that was so that other people would do it themselves.
