[Mod] Favormod - Revision - V2.3.3

 

 

Favormod offers over 60 new items (including 15 new summon-ables - Towers and Units), both achievement and standard shop items. All achievement( favor) items are each only 1 point to make it accessible to all. And all new units have been re-skinned. Several set items with unique effects have also been added. All items have their own unique icon and several new casting, buff and spell effects have been added.

Favormod also offers a wide range of abilities that are not available in vanilla Demigod. For more information pls watch the video at the bottom of this Post.

Thanks for your comments guys, it is really appreciated :')

I think that i am going to hold back the release of the mod for a little bit so that it will be a much complete version, tooltips and icons could take me a while :(.

Anyway,

Completed 2 way mirror today

Two-way mirror

Use: Teleports you to another location. Seven seconds after casting, it warps you back to your original spot.

Cooldown: 30 seconds Cast time: 1 second. Range 30.

 

Now working on some new items for the shop. Will make some new armors, helms, gloves and boots. Will release more information about these as they are produced.

I read in the 1.8 post that you included UI mods and Peppe AI. I actually use all those mods, but it would be better if things were kept seperate. I would rather see a Big UI mod including popular UI mods, just like the UberFix mod for all fixes, the DG balance and item fix mods by gkrit. Your mod already handles new items and favors. So if you don't mind can you please exclude those mod from yours, and maybe make a Big UI mod that includes them with the consent of their authors ofc?!?


edit:

was playing with 1.8 and noticed something. I was testing a minion build LE with hellfire, I have 6 hellfires + archers + monks + all vamps. Then I bought minotors at the shop and whenever I clicked to summon them nothing happened. Is there a limit on the overall max number of minions that you can control ??

I daresay that the Two Way Mirror is my favorite recently added item to your mod. :P

The Babylon Rook is the perfect support minion! The range on the clay Rook is huge. It doesn't look like he's meleeing. It looks like he's ranging.

So far you have manasteal items and lifesteal items. How about a goldsteal item?

I'm working on a few favor items. I'll post them here when I'm done. :)

My favorite item in this mod is the ice shard. OMG the slow is produces with ice TB ice aura and the other debuffs !

"DemigodRocks!" is the password. Try out the Two Way Mirror. I can't figure out if its IMBA or not. I think it may need a range reduction.

The Babylon Rook is the perfect support minion! The range on the clay Rook is huge. It doesn't look like he's meleeing. It looks like he's ranging.

yere i am aware of this, happens for all levels of golem atm, just needs a reduction in the melee range of his weapon.

There shouldnt be, however, the hellfires are working off some of the minotaur code to allow you to select them using hotkeys, if you can reproduce this let me know and i will see if i can fix it (should only have potential to occur if you purchase minotaurs), but really there should be no problem with minion numbers.

I was controlling 6 hellfires, monks, siege idols, and all vamps. I went to the shop bought minotors II, and I just couldn't summon them. Whenever I clicked on their icon, nothing happening, minotors not showing up. Happened again.

There are three different favor items called experience minotaur? They all have different icons, but do they do the same thing? My babylon rook seems to be giving me the 10% buff

Giacdegiac and Maccilia had a problem where their user interfaces would not appear. Gia said when he went to buy items that he was prompted that he could not buy items while dead. From my experimenting, it seems the AI won't pursue you even with 15 health if it gets below 900 health. It will also get low on health, use a potion that brings it back to full health, and then teleport away, which is very stupid. The babylon rook will sometimes get stuck after hammer-slamming and won't move until it dies. Thumper towers do not have any time limit, you can summon as many of them as you have time for. I'm not sure if this is intended, but from the tooltips (which at this point seem meaningless) it should only live for 20 seconds.

Very cool by the way, good job. (trying not to be too negative here, just help you iron out some bugs)

so... thumper =  OP... OPOPOP.  OP OP OP.  It's OP. 

so, I can drop 4 of them as a sedna.  Anytime I had 2 dgs attack little old me near my 4 towers... it cast the freeze every 2-4 seconds... I lit 2 dgs up as sedna.  So, either the freeze effect needs its frequency decreased or a limit on towers needs to be implemented.


Also - Kalel tried playing as rook.  It seems that his tower limit as a rook impacted his ability to place these towers.  For instance, if he had 3 towers of light up, he could only drop 1 thumper.  So, something needs looked at there.

I think you slightly misunderstood the way the FTP is set up Exx.

Anyone downloading does not need to use the FTP. Whenever you upload something, it is automatically available for download from the http://www.imperiuminferi.com/demigodftp link ( adding in for any folders of course...)/

So the link for 1.8.6 is:

(PS: The %20 is in there because you have a space after V1_8_ )

Also, for any curious: You can just go to:

If you don't want people using something for some reason, you can always password protect rar files when you make them.

ok so you all have to understand this is not the final release, i was just letting you all have a look at some of the new units etc.

no balancing has been done on ANY of the new units.

for ui conflicts - Turn off all your ui mods while playing the version i released, it has all the ui mods included.

this is much better behavour then what it was IMO. at least it wont feed the enemies lol.

I was hoping that i wouldnt have to do this :sigh:

Bugs i am aware of:

Golem - hammer slam will occur and sometimes will get stuck in the ground.(fix in progress atm)

Range of low level golem is way out, tooltip needs lifting on higher levels.

Hellfires - using minotaur code for summoning - will prevent the summoning of minotaurs II. Fix in progress

All towers have no cooldown and no energy cost (i was using this so i make sure the towers worked as i wanted). Damage and health per level needs to be adujsted to better reflect balance.

Xp minotaur needs +health and damage per level code to compensate for the adjustment of 2 - 1 minotaurs.

Flag mine only casts on allied flags - will be adjusted to both allied and enemy (but not neutral)

mouse click on bottom favour tab will not allow highlighting on higher tabs in the achivment shop.

+ a few more minor issues.

Thumper Tower (note this tower has no standard Attack):

Damage currently:

Had a look into hellfires, the code actually referenced siege archers so i dont know why it was affecting minotaurs. but have changed the summon code all the same so i hope that fixes it (i could not replicate the problem)
