It looks like the decision to Ban the new AvP game in Australia has been over-turned. That's great news for Aussie gamers. Check out the article Here on Gamespot.
Following the ban, developer Rebellion made a statement claiming it would not release a "sanitized or cut down version for territories where adults are not considered by their governments to be able to make their own entertainment choices."
Holy crap, good on them for shaming the Aus board for this nonsense. Hopefully this breakout of common sense continues, and they finally realise there no harm in having a 18+ rating.
That's almost a ballsy enough statement to get me to buy it, but my video card would bleed.
Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. The Australian government has asked for public opinion on this matter, I think we'll see our ratings change sooner rather than later.
