Banned because the academic program there is really not that great and, disciplinary problems are huge, according to one of the professors there. And if West Point funds any actual research (a very important piece of any major university these days), which I highly doubt it does, it is not important enough to ever get any mention in the scientific journals I read.

So what about the Senator Recommendation? What can you do about that?

You need a senator recommendation? So... how do you have so many officers? 
Besides, you don't have to go to West Point to become an officer, nor do you have to try particularly hard to get a Senator to recommend you. I'm sure they just fill out the form as quickly as possible and then get back to falsifying expense reports and gumming up the legislative process.

Getting the Senator to recommend me would probably be easier than getting the highest grades in my county, given my grandmother's political ties.
However, if I can remember back, my last intelligence test put me in the 99th percentile for my age group in the country, so I still have 3.6 Million people who are in line in front of me.
Banned because the Senator's will really do anything to appease the public in my state, especially since 1/3 of our revenue goes to supporting major urban areas such as Pittsburg and Philadelphia.
