Banned because greed and pride are all well and good as tools. But as tools, they can be forces for good or evil depending on their specifics.

Banned because take a gun and put it on the table. Left alone it can't hurt anybody. Put it in someone's hand and it could go either way. It depends on the person. If that person has the proper frame of mind the gun gets put away and is used only when there is no other choice. If said person has an agenda then it just might go a different way entirely. The former may never take a life. The odds of a life lost because of the latter are better than 50-50. Whether in defense or offense a life is lost. Pity that.
