Looking for a Demigod!

I'm rather new to DG (few online games except vs comp) and here is where I would like some help deciding. What I want to do is become good with a specific DG. But which one? I don't really have one that I LOVE just a few that I like. Those being (feel free to tell me the +/- at high lvl play)

Demon Assassin,  Rook(tbh havn't played with him much), Oak, Erebrus (but friend plays erb)

I have played as all the DG's but can't seem to find one that screams play me! Closest being the DA but I can't seem to take out towers unless i've got high end items.

Opinions please!

It all depends on your style of play.  Like killing people?  Try Demon Assassin, Unclean Beast, or Regulus.  Like killing buildings?  Then The Rook or Queen of Thorns would do nicely.  Like a support role?  Sedna, Oak, and maybe Oculus.  Erebus and Torchbearer can do a variety of roles.

An easy best bet for new players is UB.  The top 3 choices would be Erb, UB, and oak.  Ub is probably the easiest to learn if you are new and can be QUITE strong.

UB is by far the easiest DG to play.

Yea UB is TOO easy to play tbh. ERB is similarly easy. I do like taking out oposing DG's but sounds like its goign to be rough if i waste my time playing a non UB assasin only to run into a health stacker?

Not looking for Easiest to play... I suppose it was a bit misleading I should have asked for describe the online strenghts of the different DG's(execpt UB)

It's all a matter of the skill level of your opponents.  But just based on overall strength and playability, your choices are Erb, ub, oak.  Erb - a smart player will very rarely die using him as he can escape with swarm (or mist in some cases).  He also can have monks, etc, so he's hard to kill.  Being able to stun makes him a great teammate and again, bat swarm means he can run or pursue for a kill over distance.  And his stun is an interrupt.  I recommend playing him as an assassin.  See the strategy section for some builds.

UB can do tremendous damage with ooze/spit.  Anyone near the beast is losing health due to ooze.  When played well, he's a dg killing machine.  I'd still lean towards trying to become great with UB, but whatever you find fun.  UB has an interrupt as well that holds players for 2 seconds or so.  UB can have extremely high hp and is hard to kill especially if you use sigils.

Oak can be extremely strong for autoattack damage, useful for pushing troops, and he has the unique ability with high level shields to not be stunned if you cast a shield on yourself.  This means you can lock portals over and over and not be interrupted (once you've captured one initially).  This is a pretty big deal if the game goes to giants as you can keep relocking a portal yourself and the other team can't do too much about it.  He also has an interrupt, but his can be cast a range.

Excellent write-up!  k1

Do not and I repeat do not go queen of thorns unless you have someone willing to show you the ropes. She is a very difficult demigod to master and if you have the mind set meant for killing other demigods than she will be the hjardest for you to master. Her greatest strength is herability to shield and support other players, and to me this is something that better than even her seiging power. To play her is to stay defensive 99.9% of the game and the other 1% is when you are attacking towers and assisting the tank.
