office 2007 issue encountered

My close/min/max buttons in office 2007 are not functioning. they are in other programs as well as with other blinds but not the one that I'm currently working on. so the problem seems to be limited to the blind that is under construction.

doesn't seem like there is much to screw up (position/painting margins) and I don't recall changing any other settings. anybody have any thoughts on where to start looking.

Hey Greg!

Sorry, I wish I could answer that question... but I can't...only a skinner could...maybe pm Harley, Brian or Tim?

In the meantime, {and just to take the edge off your frustration} here's a laugh.  {and a t-shirt}

it could be alot of things, i know for a fact that until my pp frames are done, i cant work in photoshop properly and have to revert to another blind so i can save, rasterize ect......... get further in your blind and see where it takes you.

but dosent office have issues with wb skins anyway? or is that just a myth?

I have Office 2007 here....skun [skinned... ;) ] with WB....the min/max/close buttons are fine.

I expect if it's an U/C skin then you have an error with it somewhere...;)

U/C skin??, not sure what that is.

here's another hint though: I created another blind a copied over the per pixel frames and buttons. when applied the same thing happens (dead buttons in office, other progs work fine still) but now I have this rectangle across the buttons when I mouse over, which I didn't have before.

top is normal, bottom is mouseover

changed painting margins on the frames and button positions only, no other changes? oh, except I removed the button glow graphics.

this is the first time I encountered any skin problems with skinning of the frames all my other blinds work fine???

U/C ...Under Construction...;)

It's not uncommon to 'break things' using one while creating it...;)

turns out to be a technique error on my part, and it was the frames and not the buttons. attempted a 15 pixel feather for a recessed effect all around. the rectangle is also 15 pixels high so, remaking the frame and removing the feather corrected the issue. (worked on the buttons....?)

thanks for the t-shirt Seth, in the mail right?

not sure Kitty if they are the same. I'm using psp7.

top circle is without feathering, bottom circle has a 15 pixel feather. feather is a solid black fill placed on an empty layer below the object. same thing?
