Vandalized :(

About three hours ago I was sitting here, reading the forum, when I heard a loud bang. After a look round I found a large hole where my kitchen window used to be.

Fortunately only the outer pane is broken, the inner one is ok, so at least I won't be cold and damp.

I called the police, but they were already en-route. My neighbour next door had seen what happened and called 999.

It was our local 'terrorist'. He was apparently dating the girl next door, who dumped him, so he decided to take revenge. The little shit is so stupid, he got the wrong house.

When the police arrived (about 20 mins after the call), I was only with them at the front door for a few seconds when he walked up to them to protest his innocence. They arrested him. That was the second dumb thing he did as at that stage they weren't even looking for him...

So, I've given a statement, and will most likely have to give evidence in court. My preference is for him to end up face down in a gutter somewhere before that happens.

Main thing? You're ok...the glass'll be replaced.

Too bad he didn't have to clean it up and do your grounds for a couple of months as punishment.

Summing it up....the moron's a pane ( X|  ) in the arse.

What a tosser!  Not only did he get dumped, now his (presumably extensive) criminal record has been lengthened and it'll cost him.  That makes him a two-time loser... how many times???  I mean, what on Earth was he thinking???  There was never going to be any benefit in it after the very short-lived thrill, was there??  Oh that's right, he wasn't thinking... requires grey matter for that, and he's obviously grey matter challenged.

The main thing, Fuzzy, is that you weren't injured and the damage can be repaired.

In polite company, yes.

As is 'tosser'.

Same 'reason', really....;)

Glad you're ok Fuzzy. Did this plonker really think that chucking a brick through his girl friend's window would win her back? Whatever happened to flowers? I'll keep an eye out for him on Jeremy Kyle.XD

It wasn't a brick it was a rock and his house looks just like skinhits...anyone could have made that mistake. I'm not a plonker!

Flowers are unlikely to make it through the window....;)

Flowers are unlikely to make it through the window...

Unless you tie them to the brick...I mean rock.

Now if they come loose when it hits the window and fall off, I'll admit I they could have used a better knot.

Last time I tied flowers to a rock was to stop them 'blowing' off the mantlepiece. :-"

Of course, if it had been me, I would have thrown her through the window... ;p

Anyway, I've taken the afternoon off work. My insurance company is sending someone out to put a new window in.

It's a £50 excess, but the say if he is convicted of the offence they will be able to claim that off him + compensation.

+ compensation.

SO he can pay for the 52" plasma TV the brick flew through before smashing into the $5000 AlienWare CPU you just got for Christmas? Hopefully they'll get him for the Burger King Star Trek collector glasses to.

if he is convicted of the offence

Well I would surely hope he would be! Screwy legal system... :X

Well I would surely hope he would be! Screwy legal system...

Not just screwy!  Most legal/justice systems aroound the world have gotten far too soft... punishments rarely ever fit the crime anymore.  It's 'so-say' the sign of a civilised society, handing out inadequate "but humane" sentences.  The trouble with that thinking, however, is that not everyone in society is civilised and need to be dealt with harshly, otherwise they are re-offending in no time.

I might be a pacifist to a large extent, but castration, hand removals and lobotomies are all fair deterrents to me.  Some may think it brutal to castrate a rapist/child molester, but do it and they're not going to rape an innocent woman or child again... and it'd pretty hard to shoplift/steal without hands, saving society billions in increased prices to make up the losses.

As for the vandal... I'd have him force-fed the brick/rock... and NO gravy to help wash it down.

Reminds me of those things atop an ice cream sundae... crushed nuts.  Works for me.

I could throw in a couple of thoughts here.... but I don't wanna start a massdebate. :-"

I heard from the police last night. He has been charged and will appear in court on 10th Dec.

Knowing our useless legal system he'll probably end up with community service.

He can start by removing all the glass from my front garden >:(
