people complaining about lack of multiplayer differences?

So.

how many times has an ally lagged out...  or was forced to leave/ go afk because of real life?

(stupid real life... i mean... we have to eat... and drink... and sleep... and eat again... endless.)

How awesome would it be... to have some sort of pact or treaty that allows one person to take control of parts or all of the other persons empire?

Say... a fire drill goes off in your room (real life story btw) and you can no longer play... bummer right? not only did you prolly end up losing the game for the team, your team also lostthe game due to no fault of thier own...

what if you could give control of your military and/or economy over to another player?

when someone laggs out... its like "dam"... what if when that happens the remaining team mates get together and have 30 seconds to deside "ok, who wants to have to manage two empires?"... what if you have like a guy who got rushed and is dead... and this stupid worthless ai in the econ position... you could let one of your team mates get a second life.

in other words... It would be awsome for the multiplayer community (imho) if you could willfully give up control of your empire to another player, or if you unwillfully leave your team mates can willfully switch control of the ai to AI control, or to a human player (for, if nothing else, stoping the ai from building siege frigs.... rofl)

Now... you should make it so that the resources and economies stay seperate so you cant abuse it (any other possible abusive such you can see possible?) ... idk... what do you all think? dont you think?

awww....

so... what will it happen for? v (you said it wouldnt happen for diplomacy... if you said it wouldnt happen, then it wouldnt happen... but you said that it wouldnt happen for diplo.... so... patch? or even better? sins2? or?

Yeah, I don't see development starting until Elemental is done. 2011 is possible, depending on Elemental's progress and success, but its just not likely.

Elemental has nothing to do with Sins.....Stardock is the publisher....Ironclad is the Developer.

Ah, my mistake. I thought it was a puppet studio, like what EA does.

I'm not to big on the shared control bit, but ownership transfer of assets would be really bleeding nice.  It's particularly good for team games where you end up with an ally having a boned start.  Instead of a washout with frantic, and futile attempts to aid a far flung disaster, you can take advantage of his predicament by fortifying your own position in the lapse, then transfer control of well positioned, defensible assets before he goes under.  You keep your ally in the game, and in a reasonable position, a scenario that's possible to come out on top from.
