I have been tryin to start a new MV game but I can't connect to it.
"http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/" also says that it's down. Any idea when it might go up again?
A solution for the future might be to (next time MV is up again) start some games and store the quicksave from round 1 on your harddrive - later on only loading the engame.sav in + submitting it.
I´m sorry, I would send you one of my quicksaves here, but don´t think that might work
Maybe you take up an old game where you just had one submit and try to get it down better - you will be surprised!
Yep, storing up a few games at turn 1 is a decent solution. Stardock is generally very good about restoring MV availability, so only once was the MV down for a long time.

Still getting the "Service Unavilable/Unrecognizable Response" error messages.
Luckily I had a start with a 19 PQ home planet saved somewhere, which should be good. The only issue is that it is a small galaxy. Well, something is better than nothing 
It seems to be going up and down at random, this is going to take more looking into when Pat gets in.

The MV is up and working, but empire logos, and many character pictures are not displaying. Can someone look into this?

I reloaded the Kzinti logo, and it is displaying correctly. I guess everyone will have to re-laod theirs as well.

btw how is the exact url GalCiv2 uses to connect to the MV - I´ve been trying to use this http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ but as I don´t use Firewalls I wouldn´t knew it....
And I wonder when that was, I´m getting a little bit confused here; looking at the timestamp of your reply #15 it's actually +2hours older than my reply#16 (who comes later...???). Hmmm, aren´t all our posts adjusted to the server-time equally?

In any case, it does indeed seem to have gone back down since then, it's being looked into.
Lol, the midnight change confusion got you - you better be careful when catching a flight. My friend went to the train station only to find that his train had left yesterday
MV seems to be up again.
LOL right I see it now. Here in EU that would´ve been a 00:36:14, nevermind.

Yep, it just won't open - Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at metaverse.galciv2.com.
The machine it resides on is being rebuilt today, so hopefully it'll help going forward.
