You know those really cool Starcraft II battle reports? If not, allow me to promote Starcraft II here.

Now, I’m not saying you’re a bad person if you aren’t looking forward to Starcraft II.  But then again, I’m not saying you’re not either.

For Elemental, we are doing something a bit different.  We’d like to show readers what Elemental’s development is like long before the game is actually…you know…good.

Here’s a quickie example of what we’ll be doing:

For fun, on occasion we’ll take questions people have asked in the forums and answer them in video form.

It is not, that is true. However right now, combat is heavily RNG based, because of the very few "stats". [ATT/DEF] This is why I said, that I have my hopes up...and SD will create a decent -not RNG based- tactical-combat system.

I think no matter what, based on SD history, it will at least be a system we can all live with.. whether or not it will be ground breaking and revolutionary? I don't know, and we wont until we get our hands on a beta with tactical battles. I think the current way is just a momentary fill in the gap so you can see if the auto-resolve functions and doesn't cause glitches/crashes.

Starcraft 2 is a shameless rehash that stunts rather than advances the PC RTS genre, along with Diablo 3. But that's Blizzard for you.

Anyway, Elemental looks to be coming along nicely. Loved the structure models on non-cloth map.

Can we make our own images/take screenshots for the backgrounds of the unit cards?  I'd like to have a lot of possible backgrounds, but I think if they're all built-in, it might be hard to sift through everything.  And I know that modding to add your own backgrounds would be easy, but it would be nice if the functionality to take screenshots for backgrounds was built in.

Sometime I'd love to hear more about the faction system.

 

I've heard about dynasties and how they will work. You also talk about persistant dynasties, so I can load my family members into new games? Do family members die of say, old age? Or just in combat?

I've been away for a bit. Finally back.

 

Lots of new stuff in and these videos are incredible.

 

Keep it up I love it!

 

PS and yeah the game is fun already... I just need to find out how to get shard to work for me...  :)
