Installing Icon Package

Windows 7 RTM 7600

I am unable to install the icon package from salmanarif (Deviantart) with iconpackager.  Does anyone know how to do this without installing the individual icons (I am too lazy)?

I'd like to try to help. Can you post a link to the Icon Package?

Thanks for that link.

The first thing I notice is that it's a .rar file, which means that it's been compressed (like a zipped folder) with a program walled WinRar. You need WinRar to extract the IP.

I did not do this though, since I don't have, neither have any desire to have WinRar. Just my choice is all.

Try extracting it with WinRar and you should be able to then install the IP as normal.

Hope this helps. :sun:

You need WinRar to extract the IP.

Almost any zip utility (7zip for example) can unzip it. IP needs it to be in .ip form, as I understand it.

I would extract it (in Windows 7) to the target shown in the screenie:

And Icon Packager, when opened should recognize it and show it among all your other packages.  :sun:

Those icons aren't IconPackager icons.  You're going to have to extract them all and put them in IconPackager yourself.  They won't just automatically install themselves unless the author put them there, which he didn't.

Sorry...there is no easy way around it.

They say that laziness never pays but you learn from it.
