tournament modding?

I'm having fun playing SP tournaments, but it gets frustrating on hard having your teammates be complete wimps. Is it possible to mod the rules of tournament play so that your teammates are on par with the demigods on the opposing side? I know I can set up a skirmish to that effect but it's not what I'm looking for.
