Uninstall leaves damaged desktop

I installed Fences on XP to try it out, and decided that it wasn't for me. After uninstalling Fences, I'm now unable to change the fonts or background color of my desktop. I've rebooted since uninstalling Fences, but it has obviously left some setting that's preventing Windows from changing my desktop.

The desktop icon font used to be black, but Fences changed it to a white outline font with a shadow. Usually Windows chooses a solid black or white font depending on the background color, but I can't change the background now, so I can't get it to change the font.

Nevermind. My original desktop background was "None", but set to a solid color. Fences created a solid color bitmap using the same color. The uninstall didn't restore the background to "None". It left it using the bitmap.

Is there anyway for Fences to work without a background image?

Hi UNeekid,

No unfortunatly on XP a background image must be specified. Hence Fences creates its own from your current background color if you have none. Suggestion noted though, on uninstall i should probably remove that wallpaper. Thanks
