Can this be done?

Help from anyone would be great!

Hey all, Im creating a new race for Entrenchment, and had some questions about some things I wanted to do, and wanted to know if they were possible (so I didnt waste my time trying ).  Is it possible to:

1:  Create an ability that generates a temporary wormhole (or phase lane, etc) near enemy units and make them warp to a random planet in the galaxy

2:  Have a colonize ability place more than the basic population on the planet as its special effect (i.e a "super" colonize)

3:  Create a super weapon that can destroy planets (not wipe them off the map, but say, blast an terran and convert it into a dead asteroid)

4:  Create an ultimate civilian research that increases the tax income gained from all owned planets by 20%

5:  A defense platform power that allows faraway platforms to fire upon enemy units that are being targeted by another (i.e. range is 500, one platform has a Kol at 300, one platform is at 800 meters, the 800 meter platform can use the targeting data from the 300 meter one to fire anyway)

6:  Give a unit an ability that allows surrounding units to share some of their shields with each other-a kind of "share the pain" scenario

7:  Create a mine that behaves like a normal mine, but rather than blowing up when someone comes in range, fires a powerful laser, then self-destructs

8:  Allow a unit to phase out its hull and become invulneable without shutting down its engines

If you can tell me yay or nay, please just say if I can do it or not, and why...I'd be much obliged!  Thanks!

6. that is what the Iconus Guardian does

other than that, agree with EvilTesla-RG

@Ryat:  Well, yes-The Iconus guardian shares ITS shields with friendlies, but I want a ship to actually emit a field that causes all ships around it to share THEIR shields with each other.

@EvilTesla-RG:  Could you please explain what you mean by "Depends" on numbers 2 and 8?

2. Not directly, but you can give a massive pop. growth bonus for a short duration.

6. Should be able to use an applybufftoself-applybufftotargetsinrange (Or whatever) setup.

8. You can get the same gameplay effects, just not the graphic. The PhaseOutHull modifier also disables engines, but you can just make it invulnerable and apply another effect.

Ok, most of my questions have been answered..thank you!  Just one more to go and I think I'll be good-Does anybody think they can give me a hint on how to do the "Defense Funding" research (the one that increases all of my owned planet's tax income by 25%)?  I know I could jury-rig it by making it increase population count by 25%, but I would like it to seem as if my people were actually paying more taxes to support the war effort.

Have a look at the planet bonuses, there is at least one which gives more tax. Don't know if that will help.

But you could do allure of the unity and subtract out the crystal and metal buff resulting in just a boost to credit.

Allure of the unity just gives an allegiance buff, not a buff to resources (the resource buff comes as an aftereffect of increased aleegiance).  I dont think there is a buff that gives increased tax income.  I know there is one that grants increased trade income, and there is one on the pirate base that gives you 3.5 tax income just because its a pirate base, but I am hoping to have a power that simply makes, say, my Terran Class Homeworld go from producing 12.1 credits per second to producing 14.5 credits per second just because of increased taxation.

tip on the 'PhaseOutHull'- use the boolmodifier 'IsIllusionShip' to get the effect of being phased out.

Check the artifacts. One has a tax increase.

Oh! Fantastic-that's perfect...just what I needed! thanks all!  And Whiskey144, that works just fine.

Ok, I have 2 new conundrums for anyone who wants to answer.  I want to make 2 abilities:  One for a capital ship; namely my flagship carrier, that allows me to construct one more squadron for each level up of the ability (granting me one more command point would be easiest).  Second, I would like to know if it is possible to make a phase gate that only lets certain kinds of ship through; I.E. only frigates can warp, nothing else.

1. Look at Adept Drone Anima from Halcyon after latest patch. Not possible to limit to Flagship.

2. No.

I know its not possible to limit an ability to a flagship-it was a bit of a Freudian slip there; I'm accustomed to calling my carrier my flagship, since its my favorite cap  .  The problem with the new adept drone anima for the Halcyon is that its new form is an Entrenchment 1.04 update, and due to certain factors, my friends and I only use 1.01.  I did impulse the 1.04 patch to see what changes were made, but it appears that the Halcyon's "PsiCommand" ability has remained totally unchanged-the modifier itself was tweaked.  I wish to know if there is a way in 1.01 to simply say "I acquired level one of this ability.  I get one command point in return.  I got level 2 next.  I now have 2 extra command points" and so on and so forth.

No. Only other way is to use the ship's natural progression.

Next Question:  Is it possible to make an ability that is the opposite of the Akkan battlecruiser's Armistice, where rather than making everything in the area peaceful, it drives enemies in the targeted area mad and has them start attacking each other for a few seconds?  I would like to have the ability make the units either neutral or uncontrollable for the duration so that they bomb the living hell out of each other for a bit, but if thats not possible, its ok.
