1. Is this sub based(ie renew once a year)?
2. Does it get rid of the annoying arrow for shortcuts on the desktop?
Tweak Vista and Tweak 7 are parts of Object desktop subscription software but can be prchased by themselves as stand alone. They will be updated free...until a major revision takes one from say, 1.0 to 2.0....usually between 1-2 would get free updates through Impulse. There's a comparison of what Object Desktop and Object Desktop Ultimate packages contain. LINK

I don't see that in Tweak 7 but refer to Island Dog's article today on the walkthrough...there's a link to more details.
Tweak Vista might...I would suggest you search for Forum posts on that topic using the search button on the upper right.
if you cannot find what you are looking for with tweak vista and 7 then i found this article that might help you.

don't know if it will work with windows 7 but as vista and 7 are similar then it might. good luck
