2 years, and still no custom name list?

I've been reading this forum on and off for a while, and one of the things I've seen people asking about pretty regularly has been the ability (or lack thereof) to create a custom name list for planets and capital ships.  Mores specifically, people have been asking about the ability to create a custom list of names that would be applied automatically when a ship is built or a planet is captured, etc.)  With such an active community and such seemingly steady demand (unless I'm misreading the interest level, but I honestly don't believe that anyone who plays this game wouldn't appreciate the addition of custom auto-names.)  Anyway, I'm just surprised that after two years, neither the modding community nor Stardock has added this feature.  Granted, its a purely aesthetic change, which obviously comes second to gameplay mods, but still, it would be a welcome change in my opinion.

Revised random name generation of capital ships and starbases to use string prefixes defined in player entities directly rather than a prefix type. (This allows modders to have custom names per faction) (Entrenchment Only)

pulled this off of the change log for Sins 1.18/1.04

have used it in Distant Stars mod

If what Ryat says is true, then the file "English.str" (which is found in strings) can be modified to change any of the default names, for example "TDN Ithica" could be changed to "HMS Gladstone", saved and that would then apply to the game, correct?

Oooh, just tested it - just renamed some of the Psi ships to things like USS Saragot, etc :)

Yup in the english string is where you can put your custom ship/planet/starabase names.
