Theme Manager 3.1 Beta Bug report thread

A beta of  Theme Manager has been released.  This build focuses on bug fixes and Windows 7 compatibility.  Theme Manager wil now be more suite focused (opposed to MyColors focused).

Major improvements have been made on applying suites made up of download-able skins.  If a suite creator uses the gallery URL TM will to use the download link instead.  Links to personal galleries are not supported at this time.

Also, included are ODNT subscriber suites Ankh, Winter, Gloss Mint, and Music.

Known issue:

  • When creating a suite, the Wincustomize search may not return results for every library.

Post anything that looks odd.  Make sure to give us the suite were applying (or creating), your system information including your OS (including 32 or 64 bit), and if it's hard to explain (or even if it isn't) a screenshot.

I guess there are no bugs or people just are not using Theme Manager. :S

This thread is invisible, like Sneak Previews is in the General Discussion category. If it isn't in the Recent Forum Activity list, it can't be found in the normal manner. It doesn't show up in the OS Customization recent posts list. I used to always wonder where to find Sneak Previews until I tried clicking on an arrow just beneath My Account, My Posts, etc. It's the same for this. Apparently a category (Suites in this case) needs to appear in the Forum Categories list (on the right hand side) to appear in the list (on the OS Customization page).

I'm glad to see that Theme Manager is getting attention. I stopped using it because the number of things it applies was so limited in an earlier update (to 3.0, I think). I don't like My Colors very much, and would like to see Theme Manager support everything Stardock makes, and things like Sysmetrix and Rainlendar as well. I haven't tried the new beta--should I? What's new?

I used it right after the recent update. I applied the new Fire suite and everything actually applied.   I then reapplied Halloween MC,again with complete success. I have yet to try any themes I put together or any recent ones from the gallery(by a well known member of the community);)   but I will be testing TM out more as time permits. I just may start using it again it this keeps up! Now if only it would apply DX themes and widgets and OD backgrounds.

I'll post anything odd or quirky here.

One thing I did notice that it takes much longer for explorer to restart when the IP is being changed by TM  as opposed to by IconPackager itself.
