Can somebody post a link or something, where I can find the tutorial to make objectdock 1.9.sth work with the systray?

I have always heard that the sys tray and start menu issues were with 64-bit versions of Windows. Sys tray & start menu functionality were perfect on Vista 32, but non-functional on Vista 64.

I run w7 64-bit, so I can't say for sure how it works on w7 32 bit; just that it doesn't work for me.

WinCustomize wiki, ObjectDock section: http://wiki.wincustomize.com/wiki/ObjectDock

Systray section of that:  https://www.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?aid=98648

Section 1 of that refers to "Adding SDMCP.exe..." .  I believe that is outdated and no longer applies, I believe you would skip that step.

Jafo,

Your "debate" with inc0gnito is being held in a public forum and his concerns seem to be the same as a large number of the posters to this thread.  Therefore, you are having this debate with more than one person, inc0gnito just happens to be the voice for those people.  That being said, if you are going to have a debate with one individual with the attitude that you have, you should probably take it private.  I know that if I should my customers the lack of respect that I see from you, my customers would be gone.

As for your comment about making more than my one post, why should I need to.  What I see happening on this and many threads is people like you that say that people need to post their issues and then flame them when they do.  Even if the first poster of an issue does not get flamed, anyone who expresses the same sentiments or issues gets "yelled at" because that has already been said and doesn't need to be said again.

Now for my final issue with you directly Jafo... You are of ZERO assistance in this thread.  You said yourself, you don't even use this product.  So instead of creating "bad press" about a product which you do not use, why don't you do us all a favor and get someone to post some real information about when, if ever, the issues discussed here may be resolved.  I think that that may be the only way in which the bad taste for Stardock may be removed.

Thank you.....inc0gnito

The version of OD+ that worked was avilable through Stardock Central and not Impulse. Stardock Central no longer functions for downloads so that version is no longer available. At this point the only thing we (I'm in the same boat) can do is wait until Version 2 is released.

So ok I give, where is it?  Been almost three years since they promised x64 support and still no 2.0.  The system tray is KIND OF important or I could just live without it.  Here's to hoping they bring out 2.0 soon

Sorry to jump in here, but how long do You guys think You can hold even the most loyal customers relatively quiet ? I mean, come on, OD+ isn't just a 'minor app' like RightClick or something...

- Still problems with "Tabs always on Top" after restart

- Still problems with "Position on Top" with docklets as OD still is not able to save those settings somehow.

Just 2 examples of bugs that SHOULD have been adressed a LONG time ago...

OK.. I have been reading a lot here. I bought OD and would like it to work on Windows 7 32 and 64 bit versions. Everytime I load Impulse it asks me if I want to re-subscribe. I will answer NO until OD is fixed. Get ticked if you want but OS's evolve and software should too else loose the market and customers. I cannot and will not fight with words BUT I will fight with my hard earned money!

I am now looking for another 'Dock' that will work correctly. If I find one before you fix yours then good bye!

Steve

PS: JAFO - Your attitude sucks. If you were my employee I would fire you!

ooOOOOOooooooooooo I think this is good news ... with dock support for the system tray added in NexusDock, might not need object dock ...

"As for the systray support in Nexus docks, the only reason I haven't added it yet is because I am busy doing the new User Interface for the NextSTART component of Winstep Xtreme and I MUST finish that first (WorkShelf's new User Interface with multi-language support is done already in 9.11 Beta 5, by the way).

The next version of Nexus in Winstep Xtreme will add support for the systray in docks (the technology for manipulating multiple copies of the systray is already in NextSTART), but I guess the free Nexus version won't feature it (much like ObjectDock free vs. ObjectDock Plus). "

my object dock doesn't work well after i installed win7 in upgrade of vista .. as i can't drag any file and folder into it .. any solution overseas guys ?? thanks :)

Sorry, but I find it somewhat impertinent to advertise another programs in threads that deal with ObjectDock, as we've seen enough with Nexus now.

I personally have no need for an alternative, as I purchased OD+ and have an interest to keep it and have bugs fixed.
