RESOLVED - WB 7 build 220 crashes MS Outlook

What skin are you using?

At the moment Tigris by Tiggz, but have switched between other skins, with same result. (Even SDD skins)

I'm having the same problem, except that it is not limited to Outlook any application from Microsoft Office 2007 crashes if its skinned. Doesn't matter what skin is used the MS Office program will crash soon after it is opened, I was originally using the Gloss Grey Stardock skin but tried other all with the same results.

Again everything was fine until the last update.

This appears to be happening with per pixel skins that use non shadowed / non outlined text on the titlebar.  There was a change made to this area in the last build and it seems for some reason the office apps are unhappy with it.

The next build will fix this.

Oh, if only I would have read this sooner. Restored my machine yesterday to a backup made 2 weeks ago after Office started to act up the last few days...

so this thread leaves me wondering, "and, what does one do until then???"

Same thing happens here Outlook 2010, WindowsBlinds 7.42.  Is there something I can do to prevent this besides using a different skin; such as a per-pixel compatibility setting?  The whole point of using Windowsblinds is for the skin I use.

As it has been 4 years since the last comment there have been several updates to WindowBlinds.

I would suggest starting your own post and sending an email to [email protected] initiating a trouble ticket.

mkanet, if you're having a problem, I'd suggest doing as Hankers suggested and if you wish, starting your own new thread in the appropriate Support Forum. This thread is 4 years old.

I'd further suggest you insert your OS and specific software problem/conflict.

Actually, I think/home I found a fix to the problem.  c242's comment gave me an idea.  I selected Outlook.exe for "Per app" in the WindowsBlinds settings.  Since the crashes would start when hovering my mouse over the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons, I tried the setting for using an "alternate method in mouse-clicking the toolbar".  I'm crossing my fingers it continues to work.   Thanks again for replying.  Hopefully my fix would help others who have this issue with per-pixel toolbars and Outlook 2010; even if it's the newest version of Windows Blinds.
