Questions/Problems in WB7 (new user interface)

Relating to the new user interface

I really like to be able to mix the taskbar from one theme with the windows from another.
This is possible in WB 6 from the standard GUI. But I cannot find it in WB 7.

Luckily the old UI can be used in WB 7. Am I missing something or are you planning to drop this feature?

Please would you be able to add this configuration option to the new UI too?

Secondly - how do I swap BACK to the old GUI from the new GUI?

Right now the only option seems to be to close WB and open it from Impulse.

The easiest way to do that is with the WB systray icon. Double-clicking it will open one interface,r-clicking and selecting Configure will open the other.:)

How did you get the WB systray icon to show?

I did not know that!

Enable it in your WB config settings (it should show up after a reboot)

Thanks for the tips!

Would somebody from Stardock be able to comment on the first question?

Will this be supported in WB 7 when the new user interface becomes permanent?

We were not aware that there was much demand for that feature in the new UI.

The old UI will be removed in the next beta which is why there is no way to switch from the new UI to the old (the button in the old is simply there because we had to leave the old UI in for the first betas)

OK - Well, I have been using this feature for several years. It's one of my favourite things about WB and it makes it so much more flexible.

Basically it increases the number of possible custimisations exponentially - with a simple functionality that already exists.

I would like it to remain. I don't think I'm the only one. Judging from the level of activity on this site and on Wincustomize.com I think there are many people who are a lot more into WB than I am . Probably many of them like to "pick & mix" same as me.

I hope this feature can remain -- it's great.

Perhaps you can post a survey to find out what the situation is?
