Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

if i knew. it just crashes after abaout 1hour of play to the desktop (no minidump) i can reload and go on playing but it still is very annoying. the game doesn't slow down you can't tell when the crash is comming.

i never had that problem with winxp only happens on win7. (might try xpmode)

i also did not try vanilla sins maybe this is not a problem with the mod at all, but with sins per se.

it may be a possibility that it's because of the latest nvidia drivers (and win7 keeps them updated)

hmmm, try playing with the graphix settings a little lower (I know it a pain, but it has been found to help, the devs kinda created a bit of a bottleneck with graphix and sometimes causes problems when we add to them)

also with win7 just recently coming out I have heard several issues with sins and win7 that have not yet been completely ironed out (though I hear its a lot better that with Vista) so that too may be an issue

I do find it funny how people say Win7 is better than Vista, but sometimes its the same people saying that they can't get the game working. I'm not a fan of Vista or anything, but I can make it play on High or close to High graphics just fine. Granted, DS eats up a lot of memory, so I think it would crash on uber badass graphics anyhow.

I play on all high-highest graphics on vista too.  On my laptop.  And i AM a vista fan.  I've not had a single problem with it yet, except that i dislike their search method.  Never finds what i want it to.

I think it's a bit paranoid, so that's annoying. But beyond that I mostly hate how the 64-bit system fights with most of my 32-bit games and programs. Even if I try to run them on compatibility or 256 color or whatever, it doesn't make a difference. Kinda makes me wonder what it's for.

Beyond that, I'm okay with it. Nothing that makes it better than XP.

I reduced the settings from highest to high (one lower) and it works stable now.

a bit strange since with win xp i could play on highest with no problems, i may try winxp mode.
