And don't imagine that reason negates religion. It simply means that religion would have to fit within well-grounded tennants rather than blind belief. And before you go saying that is what religion is, keep in mind that there are religions based entirely on the abilities of one's self AND we certainly have not explored every religious possibility there is. To judge religion in such a way is akin to saying teleportation is impossible simply because we are not capable of it now. Even Einstein was able to come to terms with his work and his beliefs.

@Draakjacht vampires do not have their roots in religion, at least not the modern vampire who has his roots in semipornographic fantasy writing. Other concepts of vampires, like blood drinking bats exist even outside of human thinking. I said especially not Jews, since the core principle of Judaism is faith. (I do not count the ethnicity since you can 1) convert to Judaism 2) as mentioned by me and you some posts earlier the whole race concept is not scientific valid)

Your further buzzing about religion has not much to do with my post, since i mentioned theism, which is itself reliant on faith. Why you switched automatically to religion is beyond me. The modern vampire has all of its pornographic roots in the religious vampires of old AND if you consider bats to be vampiric, then mosquitoes and leeches have to go with them, along with millions of parasites. And I don't think vampirism is in itself a scientifically accepted term (since you decided to bring up the race/science thing). As for Judaism/Vulcans, I'll go with that, BUT keep in mind there are ethnic Jews. Although many convert to the religion, there is a marker in mitochondrial DNA which is specific to Semitic people, hence why Judaism traditionally passes down the mother's side. So you get half credit for that.

 i agree with you, but you seem to misunderstand me. while the vampire has it's roots in south eastern European mythology, there exist similar concepts to the modern vampire in nature (and in fact many other mythologies) such as the ones mentioned by me and you. so it is very well possible that vulcans are vampires, since the term is a very vague meaning anyway. just don't turn your neck towards spock!

tesb is probably only the size of a small possum, so would only be a meal for one as the large possums can feed up to 6 people  for a feast, but they are usually a bit stringy whereas the small possums are usually quite tender and very enjoyable to eat
