Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

The SAW is a support weapon anyway, meant to mesh with the others in the squad.  SAW keeps the enemies looking at it, while M-16s and whatnot can get their shots in relatively easier.

I know, but there are some people that truly believe in superior numbers. I like numbers on my side, but a few head shots are worth several times more than near misses. My dad likes to intimidate. I like to cut the head off.

I personally think that removing the head is more effective than intimidation unless you're in some kind of cold-war situation. Then intimidation CAN be more effective, but if war has broken out, removing the head is far more effective than intimidating the enemy.

actually a properly choosen head shot (aka an officer) can give far more effective intimidation than thousands of rounds of whatever choice of ammunition you choose (from 200mm to 7.6 mm)

True, but the intimidation is nothing compared to the effect of removing the major decision maker. Most troops are not the decisive kind.

Yes, but in some cases removing the commander is a double edged sword.  The enemy's movements can become chaotic and unpredictable, which is a death sentence for a logic-based commander.  Best thing to do is eliminate key "Pieces" in the commander's arsenal.  Support weapons and vehicles.  A commander with less than effective firepower is a dead commander.  (or captured, if you go that way)

true in that case as well, though some commanders are capable of still be effective with limited resources by being unpredictable because it can be so effective

really you have to know every detail that is going on to create a plan that is 100% effective, and a good commander always as an OS plan or two (aka when key pieces are removed)

I don't know. Cornering an animal makes it desperate to the point of dangerous. Cornering a well-trained animal makes it vastly worse. I think the key is to plan on a strategy of containment before eliminating the commander, allowing you to herd the enemy into your traps.

okay, once you edited that, we pretty much have an agreement.

I think tesb is tired of the military stuff. WHat would you like to do, tesb? Talk about funny shaped clouds? Talk about MMOs? Go and get ice cream?

"Let's go pussum hunting!*

prefer the time machine from the H. G. Wells book/movie adaptation (the earlier one)

The newer one was pretty cool too. They used the same chair as the original.

Yeah any time machine is cool, but Im gonna stick with the hot tub one. Everyone likes hot tubs.

have to admit, a hot tub time machine is an interesting concept

I much prefer the Delorean. Cruisin' in style, no matter the age.

I recently saw a sweet delorean, but no flux capacitor. :'(

Then that Delorean was not sweet. It was flawed.
