Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

Tsk Tsk. There are children on this forum. Children in their later stages of youth, but still children nonetheless.....

Well really, what with what I hear coming out of peoples mouths at school, that wasn't just child-friendly, it was newborn-friendly. I've lost a lot of hope for my generation.....

I have some pictures to share.  Today the Space Shuttle Endeavour made it's fly over several California landmarks en route to LAX where it will wait to be moved to it's retirement home at the California Science Center next month.  I had the privilege of living near it's flight path and working at night so I got to see it close up with my own eyes rather then just hearing sonic booms and seeing con trails as it glided overhead when it had to land at Edwards Air Force Base.  Anyway, you can see a shit ton of pictures posted all over the internet of fly overs from it's journey to here from Florida, one is said to be at around 40 feet in altitude during one pass through LAX, but these are the few I took...

Obviously this forum scales everything down, and photobucket doesn't really store them in high quality, but the originals are 2560x1920 so if anyone wants to see them much bigger to make wallpapers or whatever out of them, let me know and I can send off better images.  The second one, zoomed in so that the 747 is nose to tail to the edges of a widescreen monitor have almost no loss of clarity and is pretty sweet looking.

I'll be 34 next month, and this program ended after 30 years of service.  It's the space program I grew up with, watching on TV, dreaming about being a part of as a child...  And this was the absolute last flight.  Very sad that it's over.  Happy to have gotten to see it with my own eyes.  Extremely excited to see what future programs will bring us.

And of course all I'm thinking about while looking at those pictures is 'Oooo, F-18s!'
