Demigods refuse to accept attack orders after using an ability

This is a very annoying bug with Rook which happens very frequently and also happens with other Demigods (e.g. with Demon Assassin and more).

After using an ability (i.e. spawning a Tower of Light or even after a Slam) or after being stunned by UB with Foul Grasp the Demigod refuses to accept an attack order. No matter how often you rightclick on an enemy unit or an enemy Demigod, it just will auto attack the next target in range and not follow that order. You have to make a move order and then the Demigod will accept attack orders again.

i observed the same thing past days with erebus. additionally yesterday i had something similar but what i never had before. the erebus chased an enemy dg and beyond towers so i clicked on the ground to move him back. well i clicked about 20 times ni my desperation but erebus didn't reacted to my command he followed past the citadell till he died.

it was very strange as i never saw this happening before, although what you describe i reguallary observe on any general but after some seconds it works again.

Still happening in v1.2 btw.

I just recently started seeing this with qot, she refused to change forms on multiple occasions.

One thing that may cause this is deselecting the demigod. It may be that during gameplay you deselect your character and this is the result. I would suggest pressing 'h' when this happens to see if that fixes it.

No, that's not what this is about (unless you only mean synnworld). My Rook was always selected when it happened. Besides, you wouldn't be able to issue a move order to an unselected Demigod ;).

I hope the next time this happens to me I'll remember to memorize the timestamp and save the replay.

I issue move orders to my QoT when she isn't selected all the time. She doesn't move though ;p.

I'm assuming your Rook does move?

Btw, I'm browsing the Rook TOL code atm to see if I notice anything that could cause the target lockup. If you have any additional information about its circumstances I'd love to know it.

Usually he does, yes :D. I haven't had experienced "unusual move blockage" with any Demigod yet (note: "usual move blockage" would be: order not executing yet due to delayed data packets between 2 players; Demigod being stuck at the edge of a corner etc. for a short amount of time; Demigod frozen from the Sludge Slinger/Parasite Egg bug)

So far the teleporting thing, that you brought up, is the only clue I have and I think it's a very good lead on the issue.
