I would give you karma, but it is better to be a human than a cockroach, as cockroaches cannot- fly spaceships, haven't gone to the moon, aren't going to any cosmic bodies any time soon, operate a weapon system, fly a plane, drive a car, pilot a boat, ad nauseum with tasks only people can do.

True... but who hasn't dreamt of leaving behind this complex, crazy and intricately hypocritical world of ours for something simpler? The fact that we can think beyond common survival might have been a mistake of nature... and as a result we question why we are so different from other, simpler animals, and what we are supposed to do with our power as intelligent beings. One could say those who would abandon this life aren't up to the task, or are adventerous and bored with the Human System... but it's truly down to the individual and what that individual believes in.
