Oh man I got Dragon Age Pre-Ordered at Gamestop!

Same here brother. I just got back from Gamestop. I put down 20. I can't wait until Nov 3-4th.

Why not impulse?

Because if you Pre-Order DragonAge off Impulse you DON'T GET the same special items as if you pre-order in a store. One of the items is a Gamestop exclusive I believe.

You're right. You get different special items for the digital download.

Different as in "Only With" the digital download pre-order? When I asked Jon (the dude I know at Gamespot) he said as far as he can tell in his computer the pre-order comes with all the special items the game has.

One of them is a Golem character that comes with all copies of the game but only for new purchases. If you buy Dragonage used then you don't get it if the original buyer registered their copy.

Another of the items is some kind of Memory Ring, and I forget what he said the third one was. Maybe the Demon Armor that can be used in Mass Effect 2?

Dragon Armor.

Impulse gets some special item.  Who knows, doesn't matter anyway since you can ALWAYS get the other items one way or another.

I would be very surprised if you couldn't get all of the items on every version of every game with the use of item codes and the console.

The Digital Deluxe edition that's on Impulse includes the Warden's Keep DLC for free.  This is not available with the retail version.

Also be VERY careful at Gamestop as there have been many reports on the Bioware forums that Gamestop and others are sold out of the Collector's Edition and thus are switching people's orders to the standard verison and giving store credit for the difference.  Ouch.

As for the Character Creator, it is awesome.  Love being able to do this all ahead of time so it will be much faster to jump in.

By the way, if you upload at least one character you create to the Bioware social site then on release day you'll get a bonus in game item for free, the Luck Ring which gives you +1 to all stats.  Even better!

All new copies of the game get the dragon armor and the stone prisoner for free.

All collector editions will get 3 additional in game items.

Digital collector editions will get warden's keep ($7 value) for free to make up for the lack of cloth map and tin case. This means you're paying $8 for the aforementioned 3 in game items.

Every store also gets their own crappy preorder item for preordering the game, which is separate from everything mentioned above.

Second post.

*bloody hell. Too used to the way links work on other forums.*

Interesting, time to upload one of my wizard then heh.

Since I can't seem to figure the link system out here, I'll just post it this way:

This has a listing of all currently available bonus items for DA:O, with descriptions of their bonuses and what retailers offer them.

I found the link just fine. *highlight and copy then paste ftw!*

Prepare to be surprised.

So it's going to be different from how they've done every other game? ever?

I still doubt it, but I'm not worried about it either way. I rarely ever use the bonus items in the game, it strikes me as a "gotta collect them all" pokemon attention grab to me. To each their own though.

Yeah but that golem quest could add a few hours of gameplay :|

And did Zoomba mean to update the store page for the regular one? I'm confused after reading http://forums.impulsedriven.com/363704

Either way I'll probably get the regular one, but bonus stuff is always nice. Hopefully Zoomba can clarify what is going on :P

I read that ALL versions will get an access code for the golem quest. It's no a CE thing. I may be wrong, but all new versions sounds like it's pretty inclusive, and not all collector editions.
