"Online" status and messages

when sending a message to a person that is "Online" (on impulse but not R2P i guess?) it allows you to start a PM and send a message, but the other person doesn't seem to actually receive it anywhere

Also what qualifies as "online"? Is RTP checking who's on RTP, or just who's on impulsedriven.com, or...?

And what happens when you open a private chat? Do they receive an alert? I'm not even sure all these friends are really online, at all.

i tried it with kitkun, she only had impulse open and i sent her a message, she didn't receive it anywhere that she could find. Just confirmed with annatar.

they were "Online"; on impulse but NOT on ready 2 play... but i can still start a PM with them, they just don't receive it.

Ah, we understand that now.  We will have this resolved when we merge our chat systems.  Currently the Impulse status and the RTP status are linked, but there is no link to the Impulse chat... yet.
