Question about (legal) file sharing

I have been sharing files with a friend of mine via e-mail. The files are legal, original musical compositions, that we are working on together. Because of the space restraints of e-mail, the sound quality takes a hit. Does anyone know of a free method of sharing large files (approx. 50 MB) that is also relatively secure? I appreciate any helpful input. Thanks.

Yousendit.com will let you upload and send to your friend up to 100mbs for free.

Thanks Shelbygt...I'll check it out! It looks like the free version might just be a trial though...

There are a number of "Free" web-space services which allow file-sharing potential nearly beyond the 100MBs mark already. Most of these require regular activity to take place and continual access to transit files... so as long as you're always keeping up with constant D/L ratios that space would remain active.

Google is your friend - in that particular case. Search will give you dozens of solid results to choose from.

Yahoo messenger will let you send files up to 2Gb. It's not as fast as some methods, but it does work. I get mixed results sending/receiving .exe files (occasionally they will get corrupted) and haven't tried audio so I don't know about the quality, but you may want to give it a try. MS Messenger may have a similar feature, but I don't use it.

TeamViewer    I've been using it for about a year or so now and it works great. It has different options for the way you connect (remote support, presentation, file transfer, or vpn) to the other person and it wont give anyone permanent access to your pc since everytime you close it it generates a new password the next time you open it.  and as long as its for personal and not commercial use you can use the full version for free for an unlimited time.  ;)

TeamViewer looks like it might be the best option because I could directly send the file. Thanks for the tip!
