Cinematic mode idea

An active camera

I don't know if anyone else does this, but I have the game running as a screen saver type item at night. I have my entire maxed out fleet at a choke point, along with a maxed out starbase and all tactical structures. Often though, I find myself repositioning the camera so I can see more of what is going on though, which keeps me awake moreso... as well as just watching the fight... but aside from that here are some ideas:

1) When the camera is pinned and zoom in on a ship, have the camera change its angle along with the ship.

2) this is probably more difficult, have an option for the camera to automatically adjust to display where most of the fighting is happening within a gravity well.

Ya, while sins is great to watch... it requires alot of mirco on the watcher... and any camera movment tends to only be as smooth as your hand... and for space battles you either want something really slow with slow accelerations, or a camera jump/screen change... things that just dont happen with a mouse.  Its also really hard to zoom in on a space battle without the game forcing you to zoom in on a frig or fighter or something... which then blocks most of the view.

A cinematic mode, while i doupt would happen in a patch or something, would be FREAKING AWSOME in sins 2 (which we now KNOW will happen)... expecially with the standard graphics and physics upgrades expected... like rotating turrets, and fighters that dont go through planets and buildings, and ships not firing thier weapons through themselves and their allies. (its so sad how many awsome screen shots i have taken, only to notice on further inspection that a beam is totally not going where it ought to be going ... :-( )

I've found that holding Shift while zooming in or out allows a non accelerated zoom.

It's quite funny though, when zoomed in on a fighter, to see it go flying through a star. It's like huh?! WTF?

Yeah, the shift-zoom thing is golden.

Also, enable camera twist for some truly wonderful views.

Lastly... for the love of god, PAUSE, play with the angles til your heart's content and you can capture some down right glorious stills of this game!!!!

I've got a pretty sick screenshot gallery going on of SOASE. Alas, no one sees them and they just sit there rotting away in a folder.
