I like the video wasnt saying i didnt, just didnt like how the characters were moving. It kindof didnt fit, considering every shot before that either didnt move or they didnt move like the characters did. Would have prefered a still shot of the characters compared to the other shots in the video.

Made me laugh because they got the same voice actor from the first ancient trailer (maybe it's someone who works at ironclad? I know one of the Blair brothers voiced the beta Marza)

 Spring 2010??? I can't wait!!! At least, I hope the game comes more balanced and tested.

If I could make a simple, humble request: assuming this is the opening of Diplomacy, please don't automatically uncheck the "play video" button every time you open up the game.  I enjoy these and they help me get more immersed when I've been away from the game for a little while.

That old trailer was bad ass. Especially how they sucked the life out of the planet instead of bombing it.

Yeah, the Times of War trailer was pretty awesome.  The Evacuator still has the ability to suck a planet dry, too bad it's highly limited.

nice video, though a trailer showing some functionality would also have been nice. anyway, more of these in the game would be appreciated, would be a nice way to get more story elements into the game.

Spend more time with your girlfriend. The game is good, really good, but relationships are far more important.

If you play against the AI, just set things up where you know it is safe to leave the game alone for a few hours. If in a one star map, capture the main choke point(s), usually the pirate base. Equip with starbase, point defenses, repair facilities, whatever you'd like, and amass your entire fleet there and have them hold their ground adjacent to the starbase defense area. I often do this and leave the game running as a sort of cool interactive screen saver. Works best for watching space battles if, once you are set up, you set the enemy opponent to Unfair Aggressive so they send ships more often.

But really, spend more time with your gf, she is far more important than any game, no matter how awesome the game.

Seconded, I wish the opening cinematic would play each time the game is started,

without having to check the box each time before I shut it down.
