I agree... michigan outer space.

Hence the 'unpleasant, like northern Michigan' reference in the GalCiv 2 manual

Plymouth, MI, to be more specific...around 30min outside Detroit.

Lets go ransack the Stardock office and steal their most updated version of Elemental! The beta is too awful to handle!

Why does nobody believe me? :'(

I believe you of course there in outer space its a stardock.....

I looked Michigan up on Google maps. It's another one of those places that's in the middle of nowhere...

'Outer space' does seem appropriate ;p

As much as i'd like to pin SD offices on some Earth maps, i'll need to insist Impulse is virtually impossible to locate at any particular moments... even if loaded from/by a Michigan based server.

You'd have to think the Great Lakes were simply dumped from space by the Drengins a few million years ago.

And the funny thing is I use to live in Canton Michigan... I mean hell Stardock is near where my dad use to work... I could of seen them earlier cause its was only 15mins from my old house...but that was long ago where I had no idea what Stardock was... Now im in Kalamazoo Michigan, just a 1hr and a half away. Small world...

I like how Brad said they have to lie to new hires about the weather up there...RofL. Just be honest with them Froggy, think of it as a test. Just say "Well, the winter sucks, but hey you get to make Video Games and get paid for it!". If they haul ass they weren't "Stardock Material" anyway. ;)

if your sitting around programming inside a climate controlled room, what does it matter if its in godforsaken michigan, god only knows why someone would want to live with their feet frozen to the ground but hey to each his own.

We just sit around and watch hockey in the winter, at least, that's what I do. Helps bide the time. The other 3 seasons are pretty pleasant.

Seriously, when I first heard of stardock, I though it was from Star Trek *wink ^_^

What are you talking about? Winter is the best!

i like summer inspired winters. places like hawaii and florida......

Well I live in Canada, Windsor, Ontario. Right across the river from Detroit Michigan, I didn't realize they were so close, and as to reading the Galactic Civilization Manual, I never read manual's, I briefly look at them, then I move them aside to access the disk and install, well unless they are in the clippy thingy in the dvd case, then i just look at it briefly before i grab the disk.

Winter is sweet, I built a 14 foot snow man last year, getting the head on was a pain, but it looked cool :P

I'm in Florida, about 20 minutes from Daytona Beach. It's still in the 80's and 90's in the afternoon. Don't you Stardock people let all that ice and snow slow you down while you're making my game :P

YEAH STOP PLAYING WITH THE PENGUINS AND POLAR BEARS AND GET BACK TO PROMOTING SINs

I had to scrape ice off my car to get here this morning...   that is some solid October 1st weather!  \o/

I prefer cold Michigan weather. Driving in snow and ice is fun too. When I lived in the south, I pitied those who thought 1" of snow was too much to drive in, and that 40 degrees is cold. Ha.
