theres a few posts already by the devs about what envoy ships are all about, might want to check them out, you can find them in the SINS news section as well as the Sins of a solar empire general thread if i remember correctly

great reply pity the misquote should have been "If this is a consular ship, WHERE is the ambassador?"
it is the line before where the captain says they are on a diplomatic mission
lol..... now I don't know if its a bad thing that you know that quote so well 
It is a classic though.... I want that scene in sins.
