A few questions about the sovereign

1.Since I see many screenshot of Elemental and play Beta, I never see the sovereign's name just "The Sovereign"        not " XXX the Sovereign". We can give the name to unit, city, even the river,desert, or ocean. But can we give the name to the sovereign?

2.I know that the sovereign can have child but who shall be the bride of the soveign? For me, choosing my queen is fun.

  1. I imagine we will be able to change all unit names (including the soverign) later on, but for now that feature is not implimented.
    1. Or husband. I think at least one soverign will be female, probably more, and you will likely be able to choose gender. But that's VERY far down the beta road.
    2. Only the devs know for sure how this will work right now, but really the only way I could see it working w/o a lot more thought is being presented with a list and choosing from that.

At PAX it was suggested you can marry off your daughters, as well as involve heroes in your family tree.   So chances are your wife one of the recruited heroes or the daughter of somebody else.    In theory there could be events that provide you with wives, or the sovereign could produce a child magically because... well... he's a channeler, he can do whatever he wants.

Hmm. That functionality should enable a truly all-female Amazon Faction, in combination with the 'pop growth comes from the wilderness' thing and possible corrollary 'fertilization magic' for the general population.

Frankly, though, I'll be pleased and surprised if the devs plan for Life magic to include things like spawning offspring from thighs or foreheads. It'd be really neat to be a kingdom faction with strong Life magic and try to 'do the Fallen right.' Bet that'd piss some empire folks off but good...

LoL...man, that's messed up.

I can see now when game time comes I'm going to have to kill all you "goody light magic" types off as fast as I can in multiplayer. }:)

if the sovereign is going to be a super unit at the start (like Supreme Commander) then the game could turn out to be a game of chicken. How far are you willing to go at the start of the game to conquer with your sovereign until you need to protect him with more than a unit or two?
