New to multiplicity

I just got a new pc running vista home basic with dual monitors.  My second pc runs xp pro.  The primary has a usb wireless network adapter.  The two pcs are connected via ethernet cable.  I installed multiplicity on both pcs.  Setup found both pcs( I think ) but multiplicity says disconected when I mouse over the icon.  I need detailed beginners instructions please.  I am new to networking.

Make sure if the ethernet is the only thing connecting the PCs that you are using the wired IP addresses when configuring Multiplicity, not the wireless ones.
