I did have some unexpected difficulty attempting to go beyond this. I went 6 months further into the game and got 3.5 million, then I went another year and still 3.5 million and then another 6 months and still 3.5 million.

Also I was counting on getting a beneficial event or two come October of year 1 but apparently events were disabled. perhaps they're disabled once you complete the Tech tree. I'll have to look into the cause of this as it seems to be a limiting factor on the game.

For what it's worth (not much at this point) here is the only million point game ever submitted on a rev prior to the release of DA.

I'm about to reset this character so I wanted to save this someplace and this seemed like the most logical place. The point about it being done in a rev prior to the release of DA is that unlike all current revs of the game, bankruptcy was not simply a minor inconvenience, there is literally no action that can occur while bankrupt in this rev of the game, unlike current revs where buildings can be bought, ships can be built using focus from research and ships can be upgraded all while bankrupt.

While I do believe that this score could be easily surpassed using more modern techniques (although obviously not by a method that relies on being able to buy buildings or build and upgrade ships while bankrupt) this is a one of a kind game that I did not want to erase without mention.
