-- Survey -- Stardock requested System Specs

All,

   Stardock responded to my last Survey and requested some System Spec info so I created a new Survey asking for this info and added some questions about the crahes, hangs, and bugs you are encountering.

   Survey is at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=A5PfAwf4AWuyhmSNL3c83g_3d_3d

Thanks,

I have the survey open, and on the second page it only lets you assign each "frequency" to a single crash.

Gave my answers.  If you make another of these surveys you may want to consider providing a "N/A" option, theres quite a few I answered "Never" to simply because I have yet to be able to get past turn 5 or so without some game-ending glitch or crash occuring (all of which have been reported by others if you are wondering why there have been no posts from me).

I can see your point but I am looking for what OS and Video card people use who are currently having these issues, so N/A and Never are both counted as NULL data points.  As we get into further Betas (Where there is an assumption of stability) this will no longer be true as the percentage of users who are experencing these errors becomes more important, whereas currently finding things the users having issues have in common will give the programers a better idea of where to look for the root cause of the issue.

EDIT: I´m just curious, do you plan to publish the results anytime soon?

I have x64 Vista + 8800GT OCed gfx card -> no graphical problems..as for crashes/memory errors etc. I don't know. I haven't played that much with this build, because the save/load system is heavily bugged also. I am waiting for the next version. Hopefully the save/load system will work perfectly. :)

Results added.  It appears that I need to upgrade my Survey Monkey account to get crosstab results so they may or may not be added later.

Interesting things found in the results from this survey;

1)  Only 5 users who can play the game do not report "Edge-scrolling issues" and over 50% of the users who report them have them all the time.

2)  Of the users who can play the game AND have it not hang after an ALT-TAB, 70% report the "Map does not render after alt-tab" every time.

3)  The majority of users who can play the game have some sort of Save / Load issues.

4)  Almost all users who can play the game report "Cursor hotspot does not match 'point' of cursor" but unlike the other widespread issues the frequency is evenly distributed (The others are weighted towards Always).
