Very basic how to question

This question is really basic and I have no idea what forum it belongs in.  I just purchased a game online (download and CD) and received my confirmation e-mail.  The e-mail also provided me with a serial number and a link to the impulse site and instructed me to download and install impulse (which I have done) and then go to the site in yhr link and enter the serial number for my purchased game.  The link takes me to the impulse web site that has lots of advertisements for games and a link to these forums, among other things.  But I can not find a place to enter the serial number I was given that allows me to access my purchase.  How do I get to this place on the impulse web site.  I e-mailed customer service, but I imagine they won't get to me for a while.

I assume the CD will be shipped to me in a few days and the online download feature allows me to get the game software without the CD.  Am I wrong?

I am new to Impulse..... But if you have Impulse installed you should be able to enter your serial number on the Impulse download management application. There is a blue button that says "register product" or something similiar. Once, you do that you should be good to go. I am having other problems with Impulse, but that should work for you and you should be able to move on from there. If you have anymore questions just continue to ask.... as I am doing myself.

Yes, in a more clear form:

Once you have your serial open Impulse

Presuming you have an Impulse account (if you bought through one use that one) click settings (the blue button to the left of Explore)

Click 'Register a Product'

At the bottom right click 'Add Registration'

Fill in the Blanks!

Your game should show up under the 'My Games' tab for you to download and install. And Yes, the download feature allows you to play the game before the CD arrives.
