How the SOUTH was won!

And other methods of cheating an election.

I finally decided I would join JoeUser and tell the world of the events that took place on VOTING DAY here in the (Sometimes)United States of America. First, I must admit that prior to this, I had faith in the election process. I had hope that things would be just as they should be on voting day. But, it simply wasn't that way.

Way down on the Coast of the all Republican Mississippi state I parked my truck in the unsually full parking lot of the convention center they use for voting. I never saw the parking lot this full for any election, and the lot was chock full of trucks, similar to mine, but with mud on them. For those of you who don't know, mud down the side of a truck indicates the person lives in the country. And, in Mississippi it also means they are Republican. So, I stepped into the building, they asked what district I was in, told them, and they directed me towards 1 of the 2 rooms setup for voting. The room was actually pretty sparse considering the number of vehicles in the lot. On the left was a series of cheap booths. They looked foldable, and where designed more like a stand-up TV Dinner Tray with sides. As I walked towards the tables where they give you a ballot I stood behind this man, and his son and daughter. His son got his ballot first, the father got his and proceeded to talk to his son. The gist of the conversation was that he should vote Bush, and any other Republicans. His son, however, kept asking questions and finally just turned the Ballot over to his dad. Meanwhile, his daughter was getting her ballot and while her name was being marked off their list she turned around to dad and said, "I don't know what put down." Her father just responded, "Don't worry I'll fill it out for you." Now, please keep in mind we ARE AT THE VOTING TABLE, so I'm sure the people at the table must have heard that. Instead of stopping this, the lady at the table responded, "Oh! It's just so nice to see families come in together and vote.. We've had a lot of families come in together today." I was outraged. God forbid his children think for themselves, much less actually have a vote. Instead, that Republican had 3 VOTES!! I think I'll repeat that so it sinks in, THAT REPUBLICAN HAD 3 VOTES. That made me wonder how many other "Families" came in and did the exact same thing. I'm not a Democrat, or a Republican, but after seeing this I KNOW I'll NEVER BE REPUBLICAN. What kills me is that these people that cheated did so because of their belief in God, and that God wants Bush in office, or that Bush represents Christian morals. So, in order to perpetuate CHRISTIAN MORALS, these people temporarily disregarded their own morals, and cheated. These people operate under the principal of "The Greater Good". If they have to lie to get you to go to Church, God will see that as OK because it's FOR THE GREATER GOOD....IN THEIR OPINION!!!. If they have to CHEAT to get their God fearing candidate in office, so be it. God will forgive them even if the rest of the world doesn't. After having seen what transpired in this election I am now FULLY CONVINCED the Republicans cheating at every opportunity. The only reason the cheating happened in my voting district is because all the people WORKING AT THE BALLOT tables where Republican. Also, we're a small area, so there is no security, or even people to watch over the election process. It was a very simple, small-town election process hosted by the Republicans in our area. I have no reason to believe that any other small-town would be different. Perhaps in a city there are people there to insure voting takes place properly, but in small-town America there is no oversight. And, that is the exact group Bush targeted. When people picture Florida, they think about Miami, or Tampa, but in reality MOST OF FLORIDA is the same as where I live. Small redneck Republican towns. I'm now 100% certain the elections in Florida where rigged. If not by Jeb Bush himself, then by the Republicans that made sure they worked at voting areas. Or, the ones that brought in their kids, to fill in their ballots. And, what was to stop the people WORKING the election to put in a few hundred extra votes for Bush? Since they where ALL REPUBLICAN, who would tell? I'm so disgusted with the whole process that I'm not even going to discuss how to fix it, that's like beating a dead horse. We know how to solve these problems; it just won't get done with the people who are currently in office....or their opposition for that matter. It's not in the best interest of ANY POLITICAL ENTITY to solve ALL POLITICAL PROBLEMS. Do people really expect a CAREER POLITICIAN to work themselves out of their job?

You make sweeping generalizations, and assume it was cheating.  no, anyone can ask for help.  If the children wanted help from their father, there is nothing wrong with that.

You also assume all the workers were Republicans.  Since most of the more populated counties in Fla are manned by democrats, did you bother to check out any of the families voting there to see if they also decided to let Daddy or Mommy help them vote?  No, you just painted all republicans as cheaters.  With no proof or any validation.

I took my oldest son to the polls back in 92, and let him mark my ballot.  While he was under age, it was my vote and I let him 'help' me (as I did not care for any of the candidates anyway).

But by the tone and description of your blog, I can see you are a bigot, so I dont think the Republican party wants you either.  They dont judge a person by his looks or occupation, but the content of his heart.  And if he is a true christian, then he will vote for his choice based upon his beleifs.  Believe it or not, some voted for Kerry, but that does not make them bad Christians.

But you dont mention them because they do not fit into your bigotted stereotype of your fellow man.  I hope you grow up soon.  Or you will have a very miserable and hate filled life.

I'm sad that I read that entire thing

I think it's fair to say both parties probably did some rigging but all in all this was one incident, in Miami or Tampa or anywhere in the country these things happen. It doesn't meen they are bad people.

So you interviewed this gentleman and ascertained his reason(s) for "cheating"? And interviewed all the other people you didn't actually see "cheat" but are certain did? That must have been a lot of work.

Bet you were one tired dude by the end of that day.

Cheers,
