Single Player only games

just want to make sure on this, but games that are singleplayer only will not be included in the games list for R2P. I know this can't be done for outside games, but games such as galciv shouldn't be listed in there.

Yea, my list includes

GC2

GC2:DA

GC2:TA

Light of Altair

Mount & Blade

Space Rangers 2

Titan Quest

Only the last of which has any multiplayer capacity ;)

There may not be a good solution other than leaving it as is due to the problems inherent in "guessing" about non-Stardock games and the presumably high cost-to-benefit ratio of implementing a "ignore specific game" feature just for the relatively small number of Stardock games.  Anyway, just want to make sure y'all know.

Yes, and to add a few games to the list, Hinterlands, Mosbys Confederacy and Starscape.

well, with the number of SD fanatics it shouldn't be too hard to round up 5 or 10 that will go through newly-released games and edit whether they are singleplayer only for free D:

I meant the list of games I had on this particular machine, which only included one multiplayer game registered via impulse.  I thought maybe it was trying to give me a hit that I don't really need RtP ;)

Ah, but if a mistake is made?  There'll have to be some function for disabling the "singleplayer only" filter, etc... probably better than as-is because some idiots will look at it and say "yuck, yuck, Stardock doesn't realize GC2 is singleplayer, lets go make fun of them on the forums", but honestly preventing that is the only compelling benefit I see from a filter ;)

more that i have a huge amount of games on my computer and it's much easier if impulse automatically takes out games that are obviously singleplayer. makes it a lot cleaner.

But what if you just want to chat with people who like the single player games?  I can see why we would want to leave single player only games in there.

This.

I support including ALL games in order for gamers to find similar people with which to chat about said games. I like the idea of matchmaking as more than just an attempt to start matches; it is a way to connect gamers with similar interests.

Idea:

You can give stars to your games in Impulse to rate them.

If you would be able to mark games in Impulse as SP, MP or both, Sd could include a filter in RTP to let the user choose, which type of games to show.

An advanced filter could let you select which kind of game you want to choose (strategy, action etc.).

Edit: spelling (it still sucks, i know) :annoyed:
