Going into hospital soon

Some of you might know I have a bad back. No less than two prolapsed discs in the lower spine. Well next Thursday I'm going into hospital for an injection in my spine. Scans have shown the nerve which goes into my left leg is twice the size of the right...

I should only be in overnight, but I'll have about a week at home recovering.

My back isn't too good right now. After moving my old 21" CRT to make way for a new widescreen, I'm paying for it with extreme pain.

Right now I'm on a maximum dose of Dihydrocodeine and Diazepam, the combined effect of which I'm lead to believe is like taking heroin... Needless to say I have this odd feeling of invincibility :)

I feel for you Fuzzy, I am on 100% disability for the same thing, although my pain is controllable with hydrocodiene right now.  And I don't lift CRT's.

One might want to ask, why did you do that with a bad back? :-"

Take care and follow the Dr's orders. :O

/me smacks Fuzzball illogically silly

You t-w-a-t!! Ever heard about getting help? >:(

Sheesh... just like my ex-wife. She's got back problems too, but does she ever call for help if she's got some heavy to move/lift? Oh no... "me woman - wanna do it 'self"

Anyway, happy to hear you're getting the injections. Hope they help. \o/

Ever heard about getting help?

From whom? I live on my own. Besides, I'd been feeling ok for months... yeah, I know...

A neighbor? A friend? A random passer-by? ;)

Wishing you the very best Fuzzy and hope to see you back here real soon as good as new.

Well, Fuzzy...my sincerest "get well soon" wishes. Back problems are a solid bitch (Medical for "solid bitch")...I have a herniated disk myself.

A real Vulcan wouldn't have this problem, you realize.

Oh yes, do try to keep this Nurse happy, won't you? (sorry it's a crappy shop, but I did want to give you a little chuckle...and it's the thought that counts, right?).

Hope the injection works for you for a while. They worked great for me for a few days, at least until it leaked out.

In the states it's out patient surgury...in and out in about an hour, which is a good thing...over here hospitals can kill you.

Needless to say I have this odd feeling of invincibility

Good luck, Superman ;)
