Blocked on startup, UAC needed aswell.

About 2 weeks ago, Objectdock started getting blocked on startup by Defender - at the same time it now also needs to be elevated by UAC to be run (at any time) - this is a problem because it then runs everything as administrator aswell (... and those also spawn other processes with more admin privileges ;_; - agh, security issue).

I deleted Objectdock.exe (didn't have an icon... so yeah - maybe it was brokeded) and got Impulse to reinstall it but the issue still exists. :/

I just uninstalled, rebooted as required and reinstalled - the problem persists.

i run free and have never seen an icon

uninstalling in add/remove or Impulse or SDC?

can you get defender to unblock it?

Plus - uninstalled from Impulse.

Edit: Interestingly enough, if I rename the file from ObjectDock.exe it regains its icon and no longer requires elevation!

Resolved edit: At some stage it got flagged as a program that needed UAC access, removed the registry entry at:
\Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
and this resolved the issue.

I also removed another similar registry entry somewhere else - didn't remove the problem though they may work in tandem if anyone else ever finds this thread after having the same problem.
