Thank you Wincustomize

Thanks!

I've been a member of Wincustomize for about 3 years, or more now, for about a year my walls were being rejected and I couldn't figure out way. I emailed one of the Admins after receiving another failure notification for a submittion of a wall entry. I finally decided to email this person back and ask them why I kept getting rejected. I thought for sure it was because I didn't register as a paid member here! I got an email back saying that I was submitting the wrong size preview! What a dummy I felt like! I want to personally thank Wincustomize.com for their volunteers who answer emails like mine! So, THANK YOU!!!

Hi Jazzilady. I saw your work on another site and was very impressed, but I never knew you were on WC until recently. You have some great works in your gallery, I really like Strings (from 2008). Best of luck with Bubbles.

jazzilady....Admins aren't volunteers, but you did absolutely the right thing because regular community members/subscribers wouldn't have been able to help you with that one.

This is a good guide: LINK

And so is this: LINK

The second one is the WinCustomize Guidelines. The first is a Forum Post by Island Dog.

Oh yeah....almost forgot...you're certainly no dummy! :sun:

Seems to me when a wall is turned down, a short explanation is in order, in this kind of case. I realize they can't respond in detail to every submission, but something like this should be pointed out. But I guess it is covered in the guidelines?

Snowy, nice RC's ya been putting up! Thanks!

Every submission that does not make it has an email sent out that explains why not.  If you are not getting those then you should check your spam or junk mail filter.  If you are getting emails saying that they were not accepted you may need to read them better.

Or, they were typed by a certain admin [who shall remain anomenonymsou] and you couldn't read them. ;)

Thanks everyone for the responces, I was not blaming Wincustomize for my not reading the email or the regulations. It was my own fault for not paying attention, Stormy, no I'm not really a dummy, but this time is was me! :D This is a great place to be! I really appreciate the feature on my wall Fantasy! :bebi:

When I reject something I always include the reason why, so the person can fix it and reupload.

Detract, subtract - same diff.

jazzilady....Admins aren't volunteers,

Conscription is alive and well....it all starts with a lulled false sense of security.....then it's bondage and chains....;)

Should be "no" diff... same diff is no diff with an ironical twist. Get the whiff of diff? :w00t: XD

(This announcement brought to you by the Quayle-Bush School of Linguistic and Intellectual Excellence.)

*edit:

Jafo! How's the trip...how come no updates/pix ( }:) )?  How 'ironical' you should show up at this juncture. You have a 'grammar widget' on your desktop?

I think it's a Funk and Wagnalls implant.:borg:

I guess I meant moderators, not administrators work as volunteers! :D

In all fairness and in my own experience, whenever one of mine is rejected and it's for technical reasons, I always recieve another e-mail telling me what went wrong. I can testify for WOM and Snowman but there must be others. Do they all do the same?

Jazzilady, the bottom line is, you have some wonderful works. At the begining I started deleting those that were rejected but I stopped. Do you have a Gallery at Deviant Art? You can always see what others think of your works.

Keep on and let your spirit be your guide (gut feelings) :)
